My Dad, Pete Hosp was Santa's helper in Frisco TX for more than 50 yrs. Of course he could have never made it to his sleigh with the help of my Mom, Gracie Hosp. Here she is making sure that Santa's cheeks are nice and rosy.

Santa Pete was the best Santa helper on earth! He said that when a child told him what they wanted for Christmas he would always repeat what the child said loud enough for the parents to hear. The sweetest request he would have were from children whose parents or loved ones were not at home and their only wish was for that loved one to be home. Dad, I mean Santa Pete would lovingly tell the kids, “We can only Hope!”
Santa Pete said that the first rule to being a good Santa’s helper is to NEVER promise anything to a child for Christmas but instead listen, smile, and encourage the children to be good.
If you’re a kid or had a kid who sat on Santa’s lap in Frisco at Frisco Square, Mother’s Day out, Merry Main Street or any other Christmas event community event from 1973 to 2016 than Santa Pete was The Guy! I often wonder how many kids told their Christmas wishes to my Dad over the years.
My Dad said he could have never done anything in his life without my Mom helping him and supporting him.... so.... They served as Frisco's Santa's special helper for over 50 years. Among many other things they did to help grow the community this one was the most special to my parent's and myself. I love the photos I have of my them preparing for the Santa helping days. My Dad did all kinds of events in Frisco over the years and had a few families where he made personal visits every year that they had little ones and of course, for every family Christmas gather at my relatives homes.
